Some visual identity concepts for a Thomasville, GA bluegrass music festival. The client wanted to take a more inclusive direction to target a broader crowd so I thought using animals as the subject would do just the trick. I included lots of texture and made the characters a little more gritty to push it toward an adult fest vibe. They ended up going for a more traditional route but hopefully these assets will live for a future project. Bellow is a logo design sporting custom type, some illustration options, and poster/billboard mockup.
The logo was inspired by a treble clef which can be seen in the D shape. Custom lettering really gives a logo an unique feel and insures the product will be catered specifically for it's need and be completely original. This was definitely a fun one that I took my time on and pushed it through some peer reviews and reworking sessions which is always a productive successful process.
